Darrell Wilder, PE Promoted to Senior Associate

Schnabel is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Darrell Wilder, PE to Senior Associate of the firm. Mr. Wilder has more than 12 years of design and construction experience in geotechnical projects across the United States. His consulting experience includes field investigation, laboratory testing, instrumentation, and analysis and design of geotechnical structures.

Mr. Wilder has an extensive geotechnical construction background. He has performed complete design, supervision, and monitoring of geotechnical solutions for large commercial, transportation, waterfront, bridge, railway, industrial, dam, landfill, and residential projects. He has significant steel and concrete structural experience, and has designed a large number of foundations and foundation-to-structure connections. Additionally, Mr. Wilder has extensive experience in design and field supervision of complex geotechnical instrumentation programs, drilled piers, micropiles, and other deep foundations. His experience has included stability analysis and design for embankments, dams, and rock slopes; earth retaining structures, including tied-back and braced excavation shoring systems; and underpinning of existing structures.

Currently, Mr. Wilder is the Project Manager and Lead Designer for the Jefferson Memorial Seawall and Plaza Replacement, Washington DC. This project includes demolition of the existing seawall and construction of a new seawall constructed on caissons and pipe piles.
